Brass Scale Collective

A loose alliance of scavengers, former merchants, and refugees who’ve claimed the old Weighmaster’s district of Archeth Valorn. They’ve barricaded the entrances and built watchtowers from salvaged timber. The Collective operates as a trading post—they buy finds from treasure hunters, sell information about the ruins, and maintain a crude map showing which areas are “worked out” versus potentially profitable. They’re neutral toward outsiders but charge a “gate fee” (5 gp per person) for shelter overnight. Their compound includes a communal kitchen, sleeping quarters, and a locked vault where they store valuables before quarterly caravans arrive to buy their salvage.
